Porcelain Veneers Seattle

Have you been experiencing frequent migraines or headaches? Do you feel any pain in your face, neck, jaw, or shoulders? Do your teeth look loose, chipped, or cracked? Do you experience any numbness in your fingers, ears ringing, or vertigo? Does your jaw click or pop when you talk or chew? Then you could be a candidate for a full mouth rehabilitation.

The appearance of the smile is improved by a full mouth rehabilitation and it also corrects imperfections in bite position. Short, chipped, worn-down teeth can be restored and repaired to their original glamor with full mouth rehabilitation. Combining the aesthetics of Cosmetic Dentistry with the science of Neuromuscular Dentistry, Full Mouth Rehabilitation lets you at last have a smile that is both comfortable and beautiful.

With the techniques of neuromuscular dentistry to start, your doctor measures your jaw position and determines its ideal placement. The process involves using a high-tech computer program to record and define muscle activity during chewing, joint sounds and the path of movement the jaw follows. Using this information, we can find the most relaxed jaw position for aesthetics and comfort.

Once the determined jaw placement is found, several methods may be employed to move the jaw back to its natural, comfortable position.

Relaxation and stimulation of the muscles in the jaw using Tens can be quite helpful. The Tens is a low level electrical impulse machine that exercises the jaw's muscles and releases the lactic acid built up from overusing your muscles in the incorrect position.

This may be combined with an orthotic to carefully move the jaw into the best position. An orthotic is an appliance that helps move or build your jaw to a relaxed resting position. You may need to wear it for several weeks to several months. During the course of the time you wear it, your jaw will begin to drop naturally into the most comfortable position for it.

In full mouth rehabilitation, the treatment also includes applying a full set of crowns and other restorations like veneers. This portion of the rehabilitation can begin once your jaw has come to its ideal placement. The use of porcelain veneers and crowns raises your teeth into the optimal position and keeps them in place. This not only totally relieves the painful symptoms caused by malocclusio,n but it restores the appearance of your teeth to their beautiful, youthful appearance as well.

A Full Mouth Rehabilitation can range from as little as 2 to 3 visits to more than six months to achieve depending on the complexity of the case and the result desired.
